Child protection at Fair-Smoke
At Fair-Smoke, we are actively committed to protecting minors and strictly adhere to legal regulations. Due to the change in the Youth Protection Act, we are prohibited from making offers to purchase certain items in our online shop to persons under the age of 18. We would like to explain to you why this law exists and how it is implemented.
Why does the law exist?
The amendment to the law, which extended youth protection to electronic cigarettes and shisha, serves to protect our young people. In Germany, it is now illegal to sell or distribute e-cigarettes and e-shishas to children and young people.
Since when has the law existed?
The Federal Cabinet approved the draft bill amending the Youth Protection Act in January 2016. The law was officially published on March 10, 2016, and has been in effect since April 1, 2016.
To whom does the FSK18 law apply in e-cigarette retail?
The ban on the sale and consumption of e-cigarettes and e-shishas to persons under 18 years of age applies throughout Germany to both retail and mail-order businesses. All companies in the online e-cigarette trade are legally obligated to verify the age of majority of their customers.
How is age verification carried out?
Your age of majority will be verified by entering defined data and via Schufa during the payment process.
Age verification upon delivery
Additionally, delivery is subject to proof of age. The delivery person may only hand over the goods to persons of legal age, as required by law.
IMPORTANT: Due to the age requirement, deliveries to packing stations or agreed drop-off locations are no longer possible. Please check or change your delivery address in your customer account if necessary.
