The diagonally sawn slots create a chimney effect that makes it almost impossible for molasses to drip into the slots.

The Kaya Molasses Catcher 2.0 is made of anodized aluminum. It is screwed between the smoke column and the charcoal tray using the bowl adapter. Excess molasses is collected in the lower part of the molasses catcher, while the smoke continues to flow through the hookah through the slots in the central column.
